When painting at a larger scale, you’re always looking at small parts at a time, sometimes doing only a corner of a piece during a painting session, so after I did my multiple revisions and finally added my signature and called it a day, it wasn’t till then when you really see the piece as a whole as the painter. It makes the end result so much more satisfying being able to step back and put the brush down after weeks of seeing only the unfinished parts
