I went through a couple revisions for this piece. a last minute decision on changing the front cowboy’s face, which paid of in the end.

His expression portrayed this expression of looking across the land, and it really tied the whole piece together I think.
My inspiration for this piece is from my time traveling across the vast expansive landscape of the North Texan Prairie. It seems sometimes like the horizon, to disappear blurring the distinction between the land and sky.
